what happens when i have to write a paper

you're not happy while i'm here
but you're sad when i'm gone
you're involved in the world revolving around you
while i just try to hold on
tight

i shake my head it's all i can
do to make this conversation start
from the beginning we'll start over
again, clutching fast our hearts
tight

oh, what do you want me
oh, to make of this
oh, we sit and you're still
not getting nowhere fast

oh, we can't realize this
oh, it's what we've missed
oh, how i wonder
when did water get this thick?

sip tight to that glass
hold tight to your knees
we haven't got the time for
any more important things

tight
around your waist it's choking
your dress you've dressed up in tonight
the leaves are falling the world is changing
but you never let go because you're always
right
