Colder Inside than Out

it has been a crazy week
and the time has come to think
of how we grew older
and got those few degrees colder

the sun, it rises up and down
our temperature falls down and down
this entropy in motion
is as failess as the ocean


beckoning me still, come
play in the sand and the sun

now that we have what we want
we aim to stand our ground
